| DAY2 | Summer Palace >>> Old Summer Palace >>> Exterior of Qinghua North University |
| After the sightseeing tour concludes, we’ll head to the [Summer Palace] (entrance fee included)—the largest and most well-preserved imperial garden complex still standing in China today. Explore attractions such as the Hall of Benevolent Longevity, Suzhou Street, the Long Corridor, and the Seventeen-Arch Bridge. Admire the serene Kunming Lake with its rippling emerald waters, and take in the lush, verdant splendor of Longevity Hill. Immerse yourself in this picturesque landscape, where nature and artistry harmoniously converge, fostering both physical and mental well-being while inspiring a deeper appreciation for longevity and vitality. Next, we’ll visit the [Old Summer Palace] (entrance ticket included). Construction of the Old Summer Palace began in 1707 (the 46th year of Emperor Kangxi’s reign), originally gifted by Kangxi to Yongzheng, who was yet to ascend the throne, as a leisure retreat to fill his spare time. After Yongzheng succeeded to the throne in 1722, he expanded the original gift garden significantly, adding iconic structures like the Hall of Supreme Brightness and the Hall of Diligent Governance in the southern part of the park, along with administrative buildings such as the Grand Secretariat, the Six Ministries, and storage facilities for the Military Council—all designed specifically for “avoiding distractions while attending to state affairs.” Following the tour, your guide will arrange lunch for you. Afterward, we’ll make an exterior visit to [Tsinghua University and Peking University], concluding with a relaxing return to your hotel. | |
| DAY3 | Badaling Great Wall >>> Exterior: Bird's Nest & Water Cube >>> Kyoto Hanami |
| Take a ride to Kyoto Kaizui, a place that embodies the essence of jade culture, where you can explore and appreciate jade craftsmanship—no pressure, no restrictions here. Afterward, head to the Badaling Great Wall in Beijing (approximately 2 hours of sightseeing; you may choose to ride the toboggan or cable car up the wall—a convenient public transportation option within the site for those who need it, though this isn’t recommended as an additional attraction). Please assess your physical condition carefully before deciding whether to join, and always prioritize your personal safety as well as the protection of your belongings. Ascend to one of the wall’s beacon towers, and fully savor the exhilarating feeling that “he who has never been to the Great Wall is not a true hero!” Badaling Great Wall stands out as the best-preserved and most iconic section of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall, truly capturing the essence of this legendary structure. Known historically as one of the "Nine Passes Under Heaven," it represents the very heart and finest example of Ming-era fortifications—and is widely regarded as the crown jewel of the entire Great Wall system. Finally, journey to the Olympic Park to admire the iconic Bird's Nest National Stadium (visit duration: about 2 hours), located in the southern part of the park’s central area. This magnificent venue served as the main stadium for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and, since then, has become a premier hub for Beijing residents to engage in sports activities and enjoy vibrant athletic entertainment. Today, it’s not only a landmark sports architecture but also a cherished Olympic legacy. Next, make your way to the National Aquatics Center, affectionately known as the Water Cube. Nestled within the Olympic Park, this state-of-the-art facility was specially constructed for the 2008 Summer Olympics as Beijing’s primary swimming venue—and remains one of the most iconic architectural landmarks from that unforgettable Games. | |
| DAY4 | Flag Raising >>> Plaza >>> Palace Museum >>> Temple of Heaven >>> Supermarket |
| After breakfast, transfer by vehicle to Tiananmen Square to witness the solemn and dignified 【Flag-Raising Ceremony】 (approximately 30 minutes). Next, explore 【Tiananmen Square】 (tour duration: about 1 hour), which is now the largest urban square in the world—a sacred site where the nation hosts grand celebrations, momentous rallies, and state-level diplomatic events. Then, step into the magnificent complex of imperial palaces where 24 emperors from the Ming and Qing dynasties once ruled and lived—the 【Palace Museum】 (tour duration: around 3 hours, including the entrance ticket). Known also as the "Forbidden City," this was the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties, renowned as one of the most well-preserved and extensive wooden-structure ancient architectural complexes in China—and indeed, the world—earning its reputation as the "First Among the World’s Five Great Palaces." As a special highlight, enjoy an exclusive guided tour of the Palace Museum: (Central Axis + West Route) ★ Begin at the Meridian Gate, proceed along the Central Axis past the Three Great Halls of the Former Court (Taihe Hall, Zhonghe Hall, and Baohe Hall)—visit the Ice Cellar, then explore Cining Palace, Shoukang Palace, Qianqing Palace, Jiaotai Hall, Kunming Palace, Yikun Palace, and finally stroll through the Imperial Garden before exiting through the Shenwu Gate. Afterward, head to 【Temple of Heaven】, the largest surviving complex of ancient imperial ritual architecture in China (ticket included, visit duration: approximately 1.5 hours)—a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the primary venue for celestial worship during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The Temple of Heaven comprises two main altars: the Circular Mound Altar in the south and the Prayer Hall for Good Harvests in the north, separated by a double-layered wall that encloses the inner and outer altar areas. The southern end of the wall is circular, symbolizing the heavens, while the northern end is square, representing the earth. Most of the temple’s iconic structures are located within the Inner Altar, with the Circular Mound Altar in the south and the Prayer Hall for Good Harvests in the north, aligned precisely along a single north-south axis. Finally, conclude your day by visiting a comprehensive supermarket in Beijing, where you can browse and select thoughtful, high-quality gifts for your loved ones. | |
